3. Discarded Wings Near Windows or Doors

Tap on your baseboards or wood beams. If it sounds hollow, termites may have eaten away the inside. You may also notice wood that crumbles easily or looks blistered beneath the surface.

6. Visible Termites

In some cases, you might actually see the termites themselves—especially if a wall is disturbed or during a swarm. They’re small, pale, and resemble ants but with straight antennae and thicker waists.
